Patch Testing Policy

Sparx Winchester Beauty Salon Skin Allergy Patch Testing Policy

At Sparx we use only top-quality beauty products, but regular patch testing is still essential to ensure that you will not suffer an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients.

Patch testing is a quick and simple procedure that involves applying a small amount of the product we will be using behind your ear or on your wrist.   You will need to wait 48 hours after having your test before having your treatment, to check for any signs of an allergic reaction.   This can include redness, itchiness or swelling.

Sparx Patch Testing Requirements

At Sparx a patch test is required for all clients who book in with us for the first time for the following treatments:

  • Lash or Brow Tinting
  • Lash Lifting
  • Lash Extensions
  • Brow Lamination
  • Laser Treatments

Importantly, sensitivities can develop at any time. Even if you’ve had brow or lash tints for years without any issues, an allergic reaction can still occur. A simple skin test is the safest way to reduce this risk and ensure your treatment is carried out with confidence.

Your test will need to be repeated every 12 months. We also recommend repeating the test if there have been any changes to your health, medication or skin condition.

If you need a patch test, please call us on  01962 878979 to arrange, at least 48 hours before your treatment.
