What Is Dehydrated Skin?

As the name suggests, dehydrated skin is due to the skin lacking water. This can happen to anyone, no matter your skin type – whether you have oily, combination or acne prone skin, your skin can still become dehydrated. Skin that is dehydrated has a changed appearance as it will look dull and can potentially show early signs of aging like wrinkles & loss of elasticity. Dehydrated skin may also feel irritated & itchy. Some reasons you may be experiencing dehydrated skin are that you are not drinking enough water or you are being exposed to harsh weather conditions such as too much sun or cold weather.

If you are unsure whether you are suffering from dehydrated skin, you can check by pinching a small area of the skin on your cheek gently for a few seconds. If your skin shows elasticity and falls back into place then your skin most likely isn’t dehydrated. However, if your skin takes a few seconds before it bounces back into place then it is probably dehydrated.

How Do I Treat Dehydrated Skin?

Drinking more water is not enough to solve your dehydrated or dry skin problems! You will need a new, hydrating skincare routine that will restore and repair your skin’s hydration issues. Don’t know what products to use? Don’t worry, we're here to help!  We recommend the Dibi Milano Hydra Perfection range, which is available at our online shop.

Hydra Perfection is designed to boost and maintain skin hydration while strengthening and delivering lipids to the deeper layers.  The formulas have been tested at different temperatures and humidity levels to ensure they are suitable for all seasons and all climate conditions.
